Expired domain auctions: the aftermarket domain marketplace and domain name auction catalog
Browse live lots of previously registered names from the largest domain auctions, private seller listings and drop lists, gathered in one catalog. Lots with a checked archive history are listed above the rest; price, bids, trust metrics, age and archive snapshots are open without sign-up on the first 40 pages.
Domain auctions from GoDaddy, Sedo and other platforms
Lots come from GoDaddy, Dynadot, NameSilo, Namecheap, Sedo, Porkbun, SAV and dozens of third-party sites where owners buy and sell domains, plus drop lists and backorder services. A name offered on several sites is shown as one row, with the icons of every auction platform that lists it. Our own lots lead the list: an inventory we curate ourselves, and the most valuable names first go through an exclusive private auction.

What happens when domain names expire
An expired domain is a registered domain name whose owner did not renew it. After the renewal deadline it spends a few weeks in the domain registrar's auction or redemption period; then it is deleted, and anyone can register the address again. Such a name keeps what the previous site earned: backlinks, mentions, the domain's archive history and sometimes visitor traffic.
Each buyer has a reason to invest in such names — a new project, a redirect, a portfolio or SEO — and premium domains often end in a bidding war. The risk is as large as the value: the history may hide spam, a search penalty, years of domain parking with ad banners or an Afternic for-sale page, or a topic far from your target. The catalog shows that past before you place a bid.
How to read a domain auction listing
Each row combines the source data, the archive history of the name and our own check. Some columns are open to everyone; DR, referring domains, search index status and the other locked columns open with the full report — such a cell shows a lock and the report price.
- Price, bids and end of auction
- The current price and number of bids on the source site and a live countdown to the end of the auction; fixed-price lots show when the price drops next.
- TF, CF and AS
- Trust flow, citation flow and the authority score published by the sources — a quick filter for high-quality domains that other sites still point to.
- Age and registry data
- Years since the first archive snapshot or the registration date, plus the registry record of the name.
- Archive history
- How many snapshots the archive keeps, the years the site was live, redirects, topic changes and what the home page looked like.
- Verdict and score
- A score out of 10 and a category — clean, suspicious or spam — based on the archived content, the topic history and the referring sites.
- Estimated value
- Three numbers — starting, optimal and maximum price — calculated by our pricing rules from the history and metrics of the name, so every bid has a benchmark.
How to bid, win and acquire an expired domain
Find the perfect domain: use quick views, search by name or filters, then sort the table by the column you need.
Open the lot card: archive history, DNS and registry checks and the source data are visible without sign-up.
Sign up for free to open every page of the catalog, keep favorites and track lots by saved filters — new matches are collected in your account, with no newsletter to wait for.
Buy the full report when a name looks promising: DR, referring domains, traffic, search index status and keyword ranking data.
Bid on the source site yourself or order “Buy it for me”: set your maximum bid, and our team places the bids and handles the payment and transfer of the domain for a commission.
What is free and what opens after sign-up
The public page shows the same catalog as an account, only shallower: every open lot has the same columns and the same card.
Without sign-up
- The first 40 pages — 800 lots — with sorting, search, quick views and all filters
- Source data, prices and bids, age, archive snapshots, topic and category
- The lot card: archive history, DNS and registry checks, other sites offering the same name
- Fresh data: lots are imported daily, prices and bids are refreshed continuously
After a free sign-up
- The whole catalog — every page and every filter combination
- Favorites and tracking: new lots matching your filters are collected automatically
- Purchase of the full domain report: DR, referring domains, backlinks, search index status and history since 2020
- Excel export of any filtered list (locked rows are charged per row)
- “Buy it for me”: bids, payment and transfer of the domain by our team
Frequently asked questions
How often is the domain auction catalog updated?
Source feeds are imported every day, several of them a few times a day; prices, bids and end times of open lots are refreshed around the clock. The page shows when the data was last updated.
Why are only 40 pages open without sign-up?
The open part is the first 800 lots of the catalog, with the same columns and card registered users see. A free account opens the remaining pages, filters over the whole catalog, favorites, tracking and export.
What does the full domain report add?
What the open columns hide: DR, referring domains, search index status, metric history since 2020 and the complete archive history of the name. Pricing is per domain: the report is paid from your balance, no subscription required.
Can I buy a domain for sale instantly?
Yes, if the lot has a fixed price: such lots let you buy domains straight on the source site, and every row has a link to it. Auction lots wait for the timer; if you have no account on that site, order “Buy it for me”. DeepScan’s own lots are sold right here.
Is there a guarantee that the highest bidder gets the lot?
Yes, as long as the reserve price is met: on every source the top offer at the end of the timer takes the lot, and some sites extend the timer after a late bid. With “Buy it for me” we bid up to your maximum and stop there, so whether you win depends on the other offers.
Which TLDs and languages are covered?
Every top-level domain extension the sources sell: .com, .net, .org, country TLD zones and new extensions. The site language of each domain is detected from its archived copy, and the catalog filters by zone, category and topic.
