Free WHOIS Lookup and Domain Age Checker
Find out whether a domain is taken, when it was registered, when it expires, who the registrar is and how old the name is. Data comes straight from the registries (RDAP, WHOIS as fallback). Up to five domains, no sign-up.

How to check
- Paste up to five domain names, one per line.
- Click Check domains. We ask the registry of each zone; most answer within seconds.
- Compare age and expiry dates: a name that expires soon may be about to drop.
What you get
- Status: registered, available, or a zone without public registry data.
- Registration date and domain age in years.
- Expiry date and the current registrar.
- A note when the registrar or holder changed since we last looked.
What the numbers mean
- Registered
- The date the current registration started. For a dropped and re-registered name this is the new start, not the first ever.
- Domain age
- How old the name is: from the earliest trace — the first archive snapshot or the earliest registration we know of. The date in the “Registered” column is the start of the current registration: a domain caught after a drop has a fresh one even though the name is old.
- Expires
- The end of the paid period. After it the name goes through grace and redemption periods and then drops, unless renewed.
- Available
- The registry reports no such name, so it can be registered right now. Zones without public RDAP or WHOIS are marked separately.
Frequently asked questions
Where does the data come from?
From the registry of each zone over RDAP, with WHOIS as fallback. We cache answers for a few days, so a popular name may show the date we last asked.
Why is there no data for my zone?
Some country zones publish neither RDAP nor WHOIS, or limit requests. Then the status says the zone has no registry data.
Can I see the owner?
Most registries hide holder details since 2018. We show the registrar, dates and whether the record changed since our previous check.
How many domains can I check for free?
Five checks of five domains per tool without an account. When they are used up, sign up: you get a trial budget and can check without limits.
What does the full check add?
The registry data is included in every full domain report together with archive history, links, spam check and a verdict.
